Compared to flat reflection panels, QRS diffusers can effectively avoid sound focusing. When sound waves encounter a flat reflection panel, all the sound energy will be reflected in the same direction, with a fixed reflection angle determined by the position of the sound source. In contrast, when sound waves are reflected from the surface of QRS diffusers, the sound energy is dispersed in different directions with varying phase differences.
QRS diffusers not only disperse sound energy to prevent echo and standing waves but also improve the brightness of the sound. Adding QRS diffusers in the early reflection paths around 2 kHz can enhance the brightness. When combined with absorptive materials, they can significantly improve sound quality.
